| Within the framework of its restructuring programme (see press release from 4.10.2000), Dräger Medizintechnik GmbH, Lübeck, will be discontinuing the modular hospital construction activities of Medizin System Technik GmbH (MST) in Wiesbaden at year's end (annual sales in 1999: DM 43 million, 35 employees) to devote greater attention to its core areas of business, i.e. critical care and operating theatre, and put an end to the unsatisfactory profit situation at MST.
In the company Grinbold GmbH & Co, Dischingen-Eglingen, a competent partner has been found to take over Dräger's leased modular hospital units and continue to provide support to the Dräger customers. In future, modular hospital projects throughout Europe will be handled jointly by Dräger Medizintechnik GmbH and Grinbold, with Grinbold assuming responsibility for the projects themselves. The MST organization in Wiesbaden will cease its activities at the end of the first quarter in 2001. |
