Dräger helps flood victims in Southeast Asia and donates €100,000
Lübeck, 03.01.05 – Drägerwerk AG, Lübeck, and the subgroups Dräger Medical and Dräger Safety are donating a total of €100,000 for the victims of the flood disaster in Southeast Asia.
Half of this amount will go to the International Red Cross as a cash donation, the other half will be donated in the form of equipment in crisis areas. The non-cash donations are primarily anaesthetic and respiratory equipment, as well as incubators to support medical care in hospitals. In support of rescue operations, particle filtering facepieces (Piccola) for personal protection have already been deployed in Sri Lanka and Indonesia over the last few days.
The CEO of Dräger, Theo Dräger said: "The underwater earthquake and the flood disaster have placed millions of people in Southeast Asia in danger. With our donation, we want to play a part in helping them, quickly and effectively."
