| Dr. Hans-Christoph Bechthold’s successful contribution to environmental
protection has now been recognized with a coveted award. The Study and
Support Society for Business in Schleswig-Holstein1 presented him with the
Umweltschutz-Nadel, a top environmental protection award, which he accepted
on behalf of the environment team at Drägerwerk AG & Co. KGaA at a
presentation in Kiel on July 3, 2008. |
|
| This recognition comes as a result of Dr. Bechthold’s many years work in
environmental and climate protection. Dr. Bechthold has been the driving force
behind many measures at Dräger focused on conserving resources and
sustainably protecting the climate. One example of this was the commitment he
demonstrated in not only observing energy saving rules but exceeding them in
his approach to the construction and modernization of buildings. Dr. Bechthold
and his team have also ensured that less packaging is used. On top of that, he
succeeded in introducing a company-wide reporting system and in doing so
helped embed concrete environmental and climate protection measures in all
financial reports. |
|
| Dr. Hans-Christoph Bechthold has been at Dräger since 1986. He started his
work in environmental protection and management at the start of the 1990s,
specializing in hazardous materials and related legal issues. |
