FAQ
Will the performance of Fabius Tiro be equivalent to the performance I am used to within the main OR.
Being based on the same well excepted piston ventilator technology like our devices for the main OR Fabius Tiro basically will offer you a continuous high level performance for all patient groups from neonates up to adults even optimized for the special needs of induction-rooms and office-based anesthesia.
I run an outpatient surgery center (3 operating rooms). We do not have a central gas supply. With our old devices we had quite a consumption of gas cylinders. Can this be reduced with your new machine
Absolutely yes! Conventional bellows style ventilators require quite an amount of driving gas, e.g.: driving gas approx. 10 L/min; 5 h/day, 250 days/year => equals 750.000 L driving gas / year. This means 375 cylinders (10 L) of compressed gas at 200 bar are wasted just for driving the machine.

The E- VentTM piston ventilator technology is electrically driven and electronically controlled and needs no driving gas. A clear benefit for you!
Is Fabius Tiro available with a second vaporizer?
Designed as a compact workplace for areas where space is a premium, Fabius Tiro offers you one mount for a vaporizer and a parking position for a second one.
Do I require special education and training to get used to this new machine?
No, if you are used to the Draeger user interface and the interaction philosophy Fabius Tiro will just be “a new recruit” in your device fleet.

If you are about to use a Draeger machine for the first time, you will be excited by the excellent in-service and the vast amount of education and training offers Draeger makes available to his customers.
Our hospital decided to discontinue the usage of nitrous oxide (N2O). Can Fabius Tiro be ordered only with O2 and AIR?
Yes, Fabius Tiro is available as a 2-gas (O2 and AIR) and 3-gas (O2, AIR and N2O) workplace.
When will Fabius Tiro be available in my country?
The market introduction already started in dedicated countries. Please contact your local Draeger Medical representative for details about the launch in your country.
